Applications
are currently being accepted for the Upper Shore Youth
Employability Program. Please note that this program has
changed from recent years. This program will provide each
participant with a 40 hour certification in employability and
work maturity skills. This will take place over a course of 24
hours during the summer months (tentative schedule) and one
Saturday a month during the school year. Once certified, each
applicant will enter job search. Services will continue as you
pursue your diploma and transition to higher education or full
time employment.
Who
is eligible to apply? Those
14 and 15 years of age. Please check the schedule for the Mobile
Learning Center registration dates. You will need to bring
the following documents with you: Copy of Social
Security Card, Proof of Date of Birth, and copy of your most
recent report card. If your family receives food stamps or
temporary cash assistance, you must bring a benefit
eligibility printout from your caseworker. A parent or
guardian must be with you. Applicants will be accepted
on a space available basis. Eligibility is based on household
income guidelines as determined by the US Department of Labor.
