To:       Youth Council Members From:   Brenda Marzucco             Director of Youth Operations Re:       Quarterly Update Date:    January 15, 2003 I hope all had a safe and healthy holiday season!  As per our September discussion, I will be issuing quarterly updates to keep you advised as to the status of youth services. Youth Specialist:  As per a memorandum of understanding with the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance, we have hired a youth specialist, Vanessa Allen,  who will be located in the Easton One Stop office and will be co- located in Chestertown, Denton, and Cambridge as needed.  She will also be available as needed in Federalsburg, Hurlock, Grasonville, and Centreville at various public locations.  Her contract is until June 20, 2003. She can be reached at 410-822-3030 or by cell at 410-714-4401.  MOU:  The McKenzie Group:  The contract awarded in September for the resource mapping project is in progress.  We have met several times with staff from the Washington DC office.  Ed Roebuck, Director of Tech Prep and representative for Career Connections, has partnered with us .  I will keep you updated as to the progress of the online instrument.  Again, thanks to all who participated in the September vision setting meeting.
